[SML] ceiling fans: DMX? DImmed?

Something fairly simple would be a 7 speed fan like we have in our 
house.  Hook the remote control to an Arduino and have at it.  A Nano 
board or one of the LGT8F328 boards should do nicely. The LGT8G328 
boards can be run at twice the speed of the Atmel chips, so you can get 
more done... if needed.  They're also cheap.
