Bruce I sent you a off list email but no response.<br>Did you check the manual timer? There are usually two leaf switch contacts that get sequentially closed by the height of the cam on the back of the timer shaft. When the cam gets worn down the second (high heat ) heating coil doesn't get energized. <br>I have successfully re-"pointed" my leaf contacts on several dryers.<br>

My Dryer is right next to an outside wall, and the “Duct” is a single metal flexible piece which makes a 90 degree turn then directly out through the wall. I did check it, and it was almost as clean as new. Thanks for the suggestions, though. It looks like a heating element may be failing after seven years. For now, I suspect running a second cycle may be cheaper than repair costs.</span></div>
