But the technology to get a true black is often expensive and not achievable from a small portable projector. For instance my Sony LCOS Projector makes a way blacker black than my Sony LCD. DMX shutters aren't be hard, but that cuts off the entire image.
If you're trying to trim the video black border, then that
requires a gobo. Haven't seen a lot of projectors with gobo
slots, but it wouldn't be a bad idea for a pro unit to have one.<br />
