Ritual? Yes that sounds good. Think church (most denominations will do) That's about right for big college and some prep schools and even corporate events, fundraisers, reunions and inaugurations…..all of which I've done in some variation for fortune
500 companies, Cornell, Northwestern, Yale, Duke, Texas A&M, Harvard, smaller colleges and some prep schools... etc . Invariably these are done in some big space, preferably on campus. Lots of symbols of office or school or place. Meaningful colors, academic
vestments, mascots (and don't call them by animal type, they'll have a name) . school songs, fight songs (battle?) Alma Mater(s)…….then ….being more crass ..(who me?) ...the tear jerking video of remembrance and hope, a sermon from the dias , the history
of former past revered members along with the request for financial support. </div>

<div>We can also " put the fun in funerals " but don't get much call for that so it isn't in our PR..</div>

<div>Jerry:</div>
<div>Didn't you go to your graduation? with required regalia? (available for a small rental fee thru the campus store?) : boring speeches telling you how great it was and how prepared you'd be to conquer the world; remember us when your gone and come back
for reunion every 5 years,; some variation on "This above all to thine own self be true" ???; all beginning with a procession into the "chapel" (or basketball/ football arena) and ending with the final singing of the alma mater?????</div>
