<div dir="ltr">This incident was caused by using the colored Holi powders that are commonly being used in 'Color' events such as Color Runs and Concerts. Looking at the video it appears that they were sprayed by air cannons and ignited by pyro. This could as easily have happened in the U.S. as Taiwan as it is quite possible that the danger of the aerosolized powder explosion would not have occurred to the technicians on hand. These 'Color' events are becoming increasingly popular and this is a hazard for which we must all be aware. As these powders are meant to be rubbed all over bodies and faces it is not likely that they can be made flame retardant....and, in any case, it is not even certain that flame retardants would have any real effect on suspended powders.<br clear="all"><div><div class="gmail_signature"><div dir="ltr"><div>---------------------------------------------------------------------------------<br></div><div>Kim Hartshorn</div><div><br></div><div><br></div></div></div></div>
