<div>In a nutshell, humans are used to the light from burning/glowing incandescents because it's similar to campfire light. LEDs have none of the warm-fuzzies that tell our bodies it's soon bedtime.</div>

<div>Yes its all those shorter wavelength blues that keep us up…Like LED's, Television, Computer screens, cell phones etc…It suppresses melatonin..why do you think they sell you "Blue" lights for seasonal effect disorder? Ditto just bright room lights of any
wavelength (1000 lux for an hour or so) will keep you up. </div>

<div>You can program your computer to block these wavelengths and have it turn on say at sunset, or wear "blue blockers" sunglasses while using these devices. You needn't pay outrageous fortune for these either. You can get them in nonbreakable polycarbonate
from any safety device dealer for about $10 (e.g.... from Uvex brand)</div>
