I need to find a route I can take a U-Haul van (which, while decidedly not a truck, is a commercial vehicle, so still can't go on NY parkways) on from my house in Mohegan Lake, NY to the Upper West Side tomorrow morning.</div><div><br></div><div>So far Apple, Google, and Waze's maps all offer to avoid some combination of highways, freeways, and/or toll roads, but still insist on trying to put me on at least one parkway, despite those restrictions. (Waze looked promising, but they stuck me briefly on the Hudson.</div><div><br></div><div>Navigon, the one expensive navigation app I have, has a mode that lets you select truck as your vehicle type, but it seems grossly misinformed, since it's trying to send me on the Taconic, Sprain, and/or Saw Mill.</div><div><br></div><div>Every other solution that explicitly supports truck routing is a commercial application that is prohibitively expensive for the once every couple years I might need it, and the one or two things in the App Store that are free are really free front ends to expensive services, so not actually free.</div><div><br></div><div>Does anybody know truck routes in Westchester and Manhattan who can help me map out a route the old fashioned way?
