Job Title:<br>
Theatre Technician<br>
<br>
The Theatre Department seeks a full-time Theatre Technician to join<br>
our production team. This position will report to the Operations<br>
Manager and work closely with the Theatre Production Manager, Dance<br>
Production Manager and Sound and Media Supervisor. The Theatre<br>
Technician will prepare performance venues and equipment for<br>
rehearsals, classes and public events, and may assist other Staff in<br>
the presentation of selected events.<br>

Responsibilities<br>
<br>
Work with Production Managers to install lighting systems and<br>
equipment, and with the Sound and Media Supervisor to install systems<br>
and equipment<br>
Oversee/execute production elements for lectures and outside events<br>
Provide support for technical rehearsals and performances<br>
Supervise student and professional crews<br>
Assess the lighting needs of productions that do not have a Lighting<br>
Designer, and assist artists in realizing a design using available<br>
resources<br>
Assist Theatre Technical Director with carpentry and scenic<br>
installation if time permits<br>

Qualifications<br>
<br>
Bachelor’s degree required with professional theatre experience, or an<br>
equivalent combination of education and experience<br>
Strong competency with lighting and sound equipment<br>
Ability to work independently and in a team environment<br>
Ability to read and understand lighting and sound drafting and paperwork<br>
Experience with Lightwright and Vectorworks and some carpentry<br>
experience is highly desirable<br>
