<div dir="ltr">We have not used blank firing weapons on our stage for well over fifteenyears, we use home-made wooden prop guns and slap a board on the floor.  I truly believe that in every case the effect has been superior to the use of a blank firing pistol in that the prop is much less distracting to the audience and more closely fits the style of the individual production....which after all is a stage production not a movie.  The noise of a skinny but thick hardwood slat slapped/clapped onto our pine floor has been more than sufficient for the audience to jump in their seats and comes closer to what the imagine thinks is the sound of a gun than the sound of an actual 22 blank.<br clear="all"><div><div class="gmail_signature"><div dir="ltr"><div><div dir="ltr"><div>---------------------------------------------------------------------------------<br></div><div>Kim Hartshorn</div><div>Plattsburgh State</div><div><br></div><div><br></div></div></div></div></div></div>
