<p>What are the odds that I can drill & tap 2" white PVC socket caps to put a 1/4" MPT fitting in and have them reliably hold city water pressure?</p>

<p>I was wondering about screwing on a 1/4" coupling on the inside of the fitting and gluing it in place before attaching to the large pipe.</p>

<p>I have to do a bunch so hopefully this works.</p>

<p>Alternately, anyone seen 2" slip to 1/4" FPT adapters?  My sources seem a bit scarce for that.</p>
