<p style="margin: 0 0 1em 0; color: black;">Wow. That's a pretty dumb OS
"feature". You'd think the EDID that tells the OS that it's a projector
would make the OS want to make that a secondary. I think we had the same
problem once... it was when I had an external monitor and a projector both
plugged into the MacBook. The OS kept trying to make the projector the
primary and the laptop screen #2, and the extra monitor #3. Just too weird.</p>

Mini (with next-to-latest OS on it) - always, ALWAYS grabbing the external
display (Extron/projector setup) as the primary display.... EVERY TIME. We
have our desktop (true primary) display on HDMI, and the Extron/projector
on a Thunderbolt/HDMI adapter.... and even if I switch them and power up,
the damn thing ALWAYS takes the Extron/projector as the primary - even if
it's not powered on..... Ugh.</div><div

power up the Mac BEFORE plugging the adapter in. But plugging in the
adapter BEFORE opening QLab, otherwise all our projection settings are
