<p>Did I mention how much I hate EDID (and HDCP)? For those of us
who want to dictate what our settings should be we're constantly
having to do workarounds, like the Extron DA, to hold a fixed
resolution regardless of what we plug in to the system. <br>
</p>
<p>And now we also have a whole generation of connectors, HDMI,
Display Port, Lighting, which have no native way to secure them,
leaving them subject to being pulled out just at the most
in-opportune moment of the show.<br>

I use an Extron DP Distribution Amp to give my ProPresenter
operator
a monitor that mirrors what they're sending to our video
switcher.<br>
