like the current Masonite stand-in materials. I do, however, like Plyron. A
lot.<br>
It's available in a few thicknesses. And it's hard to hurt it.<br>

<br><br>Andrew: If temporary, short run, not much fluctuation in
temp/humidity, it essentially doesn't matter. . .slap em down, use
ring-shank nails where it WILL bubble up. If you have the time and
inclination for a hassle-less flooring, then yes, paint both sides (AND
EDGES) and install with a gap. We lay strips of a waxed paper under the
seams as we use our tempered hardboard as a paintable show deck to prevent
paint from affecting our lovely stained pine floor. Diligence in the steps
of: Acclimatizing your panels and paint to the install area, even coating
and sufficient drying of the paint, and even gaps make for WAAAY less
