<div dir="ltr">I would suggest an ellipse cutting jig for what you are
doing. It is easy to make and very accurate. Much simpler and more
appealing, to me at least, than making a bunch of templates with a saber
saw and sanding and flipping. Just make an adapter to mount your router to
the end of the arm. Drill holes for each of your foci and screw the arm
through the appropriate holes to the sliders in the jig. I would use a 1x3
or 4 for the arm for the size you are doing for rigidity.<div>Here is a
