<div dir="ltr">Sounds like a small heap of crap to me in general. HOWEVER!! There actually is a production called "Black Comedy" by Peter Shaffer where indeed, the show begins on a dark stage in the "light" for a few moments and then the mains blow, the stage lights come on, and everyone kind of stumbles around in the "dark". Humor ensues. ;)<div><br></div><div>Steve</div></div><div class="gmail_extra"><br clear="all"><div><div class="gmail_signature" data-smartmail="gmail_signature"><div dir="ltr"><div><div dir="ltr"><div dir="ltr"><div dir="ltr"><div>Stephen E. This is where actors use the magic ‘if’ – and they have to play their whole scene as if it were taking place in the dark. Then as if it were taking place in the light. Stanislightsky believed that every word has a different meaning in the light and dark – and it’s only when you start playing with the different extremes of lights that actors start to truly understand their characters. This is why many productions are so dimly lit now – actors have been exploring Stanislightsky’s method.</span><span style="color:rgb(51,51,51);font-size:16px;background-color:rgb(255,255,255)">"</span></div>
