<div name="messageBodySection">My digitizer became indispensable (old Wacom now a monoprice) and I use a game pad to map shortcuts so I can work with a pen and shortcuts (Razer Nostromo). I can also map for each program which means I could switch between CAD and VW and keep<br />

my muscle memory without learning actual key commands, but each OS update requires new and different upkeep which can get frustrating.<br />

I learned on command line AutoCAD and it is easier if I am on a strange computer, but I like the workspace in VW better. Kevin Lee Allen’s VW for Entertainment Design is a great resource if you want to dig into it.</div>

When they migrated from DOS to Windows the digitizers went away. It<br />

wasn't long after that I traded in my AutoCAD disks for TurboCAD. If I<br />

HAD to use a mouse (actually trackball, I don't use mice), then I was<br />

going with cheaper software.<br />

But, it's like every "upgrade" now, more flashy graphics, less work<br />

getting done. I just tried the latest TurboCAD (2017 Pro) and had to<br />

turn OFF the RED advanced graphics accelerator, it kept leaving junk on<br />

the screen, flickering, taking forever to load, etc. I had to go back<br />

to the generic interface.<br />

TC 2015, however, works just fine with my Radeon GPU and the RED DSK driver.<br />
