We just got a new Canon WiFi printer to do some
specialty color stuff. As normal, I turned off the MAC address
checking on our access point, gave the printer the password and
all was well.

But then when I add the MAC address to the allowed list and enable
checking, the printer drops the connection. Any idea if this
printer is doing something funny that the access point doesn't
like?

I deleted the MAC address entry and then reentered it. Still no
joy. If I turn off the checking, then it works fine and the AP
shows that very address as connected.

AP is old but seems to be working fine, Netgear WG602v4, set to G
only (it doesn't have N).
