<div dir="ltr"><div dir="auto">We have been using Google Sheets to keep everyone together. We had laptops located on SL, SR, and with myself and the stage manager. Lighting and sound really did not need them during the show but had access to the files which helped keep us all together during tech. Follow spots had written notes. Printed sheets were posted back stage as well in case of an internet outage. The advantage with using the Google sheet method is that we were able to update the document immediately for everyone. ASM's could assign specific deck crew to do jobs and replace them on the document as necessary. Working with high school students presents challanges of consistency with crew members. Being able to replace people or add more was easily done and it did not require me or a student Stage Manager to pour over notes at the end of the night. <br><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">Columns on the sheet include:</div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">Act and scene</div><div>Unit</div><div>Location</div><div>Spike Color</div><div>Cue</div><div>Crew Assigned</div><div><br></div><div>In addition to the columns we assigned different colors to each cell based on what was happening to the set piece in question.<br></div><div><br></div><div>Green = set piece to spike<br></div><div>Red = strike set piece <br></div><div>Yellow = flown unit in</div><div>light blue = flown unit out</div><div>magenta = lighting effect<br></div><div>orange = sound effect</div><div>primary blue = preset piece<br></div><div><br></div><div>This is all part of a larger file which includes everything from script analysis to production staff members, a line set schedule, budget info and all sorts of other information for the show. <br></div><div><br></div><div>Keith Newman</div><div>Technical Director</div><div>Cleveland Heights High School<br></div><div><br></div></div><div class="gmail_extra"><br><div class="gmail_quote">On Jan 12, 2018 9:06 AM, "Stephen Braun via Stagecraft" <<a href="mailto:stagecraft@theatrical.net" target="_blank">stagecraft@theatrical.net</a>> wrote:<br type="attribution"><blockquote class="gmail_quote" style="margin:0 0 0 .8ex;border-left:1px #ccc solid;padding-left:1ex"><div dir="ltr">Hello All,<div><br></div><div>I need to teach High School students how to do several scenery shifts, and I need to put one of them in charge of the process.</div><div>I would like the student leader to have a form for each shift, with information about who moves what, on, or off, stage location, etc.</div><div><br></div><div>I have no problem in making up my own form, but I thought that one of you might already have something like this in use that works for you.</div><div>Would you be willing to share what categories you are using, and/or what order works well for recording and reading back scenery stage shifts.</div><div><br></div><div>Thanks a bunch,</div><div>sfb</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br clear="all"><div><div class="m_5624475698257801993m_2330085617123019030gmail_signature"><div dir="ltr"><div><div dir="ltr" style="font-size:12.8px">Stephen Braun / Theatre Manager<br>Robinson-Faust Theatre of the Performing Arts / Oswego High School <br>Two Buccaneer Blvd. / Oswego, NY 13126<br>Voice: <a href="tel:(315)%20341-2265" value="+13153412265" target="_blank">315.341.2265</a><br>Web Site: <a href="http://faust.oswego.org/" target="_blank">http://</a><a href="http://tailoredwebsolutions.net/ohs" target="_blank">tailoredwebsolutions.n<wbr>et/ohs</a>/</div></div><span style="font-family:verdana,sans-serif"><a href="mailto:sbraun1@twcny.rr.com" target="_blank">sbraun1@twcny.rr.com</a></span><br></div></div></div>
