I find that two peasouper style machines, one either side upstage is best, each with a single ten inch block well broken up into pieces or the equivalent in pellets. Make sure machines are on a rolling boil. Get it fresh daily, ( it will disappear over a weekend, so if you have shows on sat and sun and the delivery is on friday, get in enough for the shows plus a couple of blocks to allow for losses, and store in a big wooden box or flightcase well lined with polystyrene but make sure any built up gasses can escape so not a closed fridge.
