If you look at the drawings for Elbow, you can tell the fitting is of an bulbous shape. So... What is the style name of this type of fitting? These are classic parts and I'd like to label their storage home with the appropriate classic name.</pre>

Well it is on page 84 in my 1988 edition. They look like Bar Rail
fittings. In my 35+ years of building scenery we have never come
across these. The standard being "Speedrail", NuRail" and Kee
Klamps. Here is a link to pieces that look the same but I doubt
they are threaded as you indicate yours are.
