We looked at wire from Action Props. Looked great but too much $$ for us. Eventually we made our own ?barbed? wire. We bought ?barbless cable? at Tractor Supply and made our own barbs using rubber bands. Got a good width (can?t remember) cut them into short
lengths, tied them onto the wire with a granny knot, cut the ends on a diagonal to appropriate length, some aluminium / silver spray paint ?.all done. Looked great even up close. Easy on the hands and clothes if crawling under, around or over it. Using the
real barlbless cable gave it that nice circular shape on the top of the walls and around the audience seating. You?ll have to experiment for correct size of rubber bands. Lots of mindless repetitive work?.just in case you have anyone in mind for the job.

I did this quite a while back to make some concave projection screens. Did <br>
essentially what Mike said, but just went against screws instead of blocks <br>

To add another method to the conversation besides ?gradual weighting?, ?bend it to blocks screwed to the floor? and ?go pound sand? (a description I love, despite it being not at all what Bill S suggested), I?ll add that you can draw the curve you want on the
floor then use a standard conduit bender to make gradual bends, laying your piece on the floor regularly to check progress. You can undo curves bent too far by using the bender in the other direction. Fair warning, it takes practice to learn how far to go
so as not to end up with a segmented curve. If you have the machine and dies, a metal bender like a Hossfeld can be used to the same effect.

Also, if you don?t specifically need it to be steel conduit you can fill PVC conduit or pipe with sand, heat it just to soften it and bend it to a template without as much spring back as the steel may have. Here?s a link to a video on the technique (for which

We?ve got two nice Christie LCD projectors?.a few years old but like the present D series at 8K lumens . Lots of zoom and key correction built in as well as blending. Of course, as a theatre they are used in plays for scenic projection, in film for large screen
, etc etc. Needless to say they don?t just get mounted on the balcony rail. Any ideas for a mount that will make focus easier given that for the way we use them they could be anywhere from straight on from out front to straight down from above. Something ?portable?
and clampable to existing pipes and battens?..not a permanent ceiling mount. <br>

If I had a nice 2'x3' piece of 3/4" ply, some blocks, some casters, and a <br>
way of adusting the position of an axle, I'd fashion something akin to an <br>
overgrown fret wire bender. Google "fret wire bender,"" look at the images, <br>
and let your imagination run amok. It souldn't take too much effort to use <br>
such a thingie to apply gradual radius bends gently to THHN conduit... <br>

I have some larger Sony?s and bought a standard universal mount matching the weight of projector with a 1.5? pipe mount from B&H. I have Mega Coupler Pipe Adaptors and Mega Claws on hand manufactured by The Light Source (see below link). This allows me to mount
the projector from any batten or directly onto a boom. This has provided me with a huge amount of flexibility. For anything but straight on shots I would recommend getting a beefier mount. The Peerless unit I got has screw adjustments for pitch and yaw but
when I try to tip the projector past 30 degrees its slips the threads from the weight. I would suggest getting something with a separate locking mechanism.

Sounds to me like a cage that has build in adjustment would be a handy <br>
thing for you. Much like a 35mm projector rack which allows you to dial <br>
in the fine tuning of rotation (level), pan, and tilt with screws. I <br>
expect that they are out there, I have not seen one for quite a while. <br>
