I don’t know why this isn’t working. I use actetone without any real problems although it’s pretty “weak”. You can try “diluting” MEK it with water. I use MEK as is with a spray bottle of water handy to spray on the MEK to arrest the eating away. Outside,
with a mask , of course. ….and yes, using a router to rout away the big stuff and then just sculpt the edges with solvent (anything with ketones ought to work too)<br class="">

<div dir="ltr" class="">Are you using open cell or closed cell PS? That would make a difference. On the white closed cell type, acetone and spray paint has been adequate to the task. Open cell or blue foam much more resistant.
