<div dir="ltr">Nice space, Bill. My space has the "hairpin" style of endrow railings. These are nice looking, but they look like they'd catch a sleeve? I see an elderly patron with long, loose sleeves on her sweater getting caught on the railing as she comes down....<div><br></div><div> - Jon</div></div><br><div class="gmail_quote"><div dir="ltr" class="gmail_attr">On Fri, Aug 2, 2019 at 8:17 AM Bill Conner via Stagecraft <<a href="mailto:stagecraft@theatrical.net">stagecraft@theatrical.net</a>> wrote:<br></div><blockquote class="gmail_quote" style="margin:0px 0px 0px 0.8ex;border-left:1px solid rgb(204,204,204);padding-left:1ex"><div dir="ltr"><div>Goggle images "aisle stair handrail theatre" and you'll see some. Generally either at the aisle, my preference, for a length of one to five rows, or "hair pins" at one side. Whilst I completely agree on the step nosing and illumination issues, I’m really curious about the handrails. How could you possibly put hand rails up those steps without blocking access to get in and out of those pews? I don’t know how high they are - probably too low - but could those wood-topped white end pieces be considered a broken railing?<br>
