<div dir="ltr">I'm so very sorry to learn of his passing. Dick was a good friend whom I never got enough time to spend with in person. He was a stalwart of the Upstate Section of USITT for many years and, as well, we shared ideas and solutions back and forth from time to time. <div>I always loved it when the PM would come into Dick’s office, (which was as usual piled high with random paperwork on every available surface), demanding to know some trivial detail about budget or schedule and Dick would immediately go to the
correct heap, pull out the exact page needed and give the answer.<br>

Dick Archer, Technical Director at Cornell University, mentor to many of us, and longtime contributor to the list has passed.<u></u><u></u></div>

He was recently moved into Hospice, and surrounded by family at the time of his passing.<u></u><u></u></div>

He had been battling liver cancer (ironic, as he never touched drugs or alcohol) for the last year and change.<u></u><u></u></div>

Dick has been an incredible resource to many of us over the years. He was a stagehand at Woodstock, mentored Tom Hanks (as a stagehand, not actor) at the Great Lakes Theatre, and worked as both a Professor at Cornell and freelance TD for the last several decades.<u></u><u></u></div>
