If I have anything to say in the matter, the sound system operator shuts
down the sound system as soon as they notice the alarm system going off.
This is very difficult to not notice, as the alarm system activation
usually turns on all house lights to full, activates flashing lights and
alarm horns all over the building. This again depends on local
building and fire codes.
The audio system in one of our new venues has overrides built in to cut audio when the alarm system and emergency announcement are activated. The question that came up is what happens when there is a concert with an outside sound company providing audio.
