If you’re into programming you can build a pi wall using raspberry pi units. https://www.screenly.io/use-cases/applications/raspberry-pi-video-wall/
I seem to remember a poster session at USITT a few years ago where someone talked about doing this. It involves some programming but it allows you to build a scalable system that requires a pi unit for each monitor and one master unit. You can choose between
all of the units displaying video or set it up for multiple displays. From what I remember it was a lot of work.

When I needed multiple monitors I contacted my media department and borrowed units from them. You might see who does media on your campus for meetings and see if they can help.

I’ve done this with 4 monitors and qlab to run a video wall effect. Qlab let me set up a 2 by 2 layout and I could set up different surfaces so I could access all 4 screens as 1 image or each screen separately. It did require a separate
video output for each screen. I was using triplehead2go units at the time but there are other video splitters you can get. These units split the video output by increasing the screen resolution 2 or 3 wide and then outputting it as 2 or 3 separate outputs.
You could also add extra video cards to a computer but you’ll need processing speed to make it happen. I’ve run 5 monitors out of a mac tower on qlab.

I’m sure there are other solutions, this is what I have done in the past. Feel free to email me if you want to talk more about it. It’s a lot of work but ultimately you’ll be very proud when you get it all done and it works. Good
