<div dir="auto">Just to jump on the bandwagon here seems low. I’ve always been kinda amazed at how low DC theaters pay their staff though. The best job posting I saw was a Technical Director at a private school in dc for 100k per year. On the flip side I’ve seen local big name theaters pay their ATDs and TDs 50-65k, so there is a range. What I am always amazed by is that cost of living does not seem to be a thing in the theater world. There are TDs in Kansas City that make the same as TDs in DC. </div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">-JTB</div><div><br><div class="gmail_quote gmail_quote_container"><div dir="ltr" class="gmail_attr">On Tue, Jul 8, 2025 at 22:44 Dave Vick via Stagecraft <<a href="mailto:stagecraft@theatrical.net">stagecraft@theatrical.net</a>> wrote:<br></div><blockquote class="gmail_quote" style="margin:0px 0px 0px 0.8ex;border-left-width:1px;border-left-style:solid;padding-left:1ex;border-left-color:rgb(204,204,204)"><div dir="ltr"><div>$67K for a full-time-and-then-some Tech Director? ...In Washington DC?!?!?
