Were you able to consider a single line with sliders (or trolleys,
gliders, shuttles or whatever you want to call them) and the
intermediate attachment clamps?  Less fastening and unfastening (if
anyone uses it.)

I agree that a properly designed lighting catwalk even if the the
stage or lighting side rails don't comply with OSHA guard requirements
is hard to fall from and safe. It's the catwalks with compliant guards
which force roostering or side arming or other means to push light
away form edge and thus require leaning over the edge to for normal
servicing that scare me.  The national model building and fire codes
exempt these spaces, because I was able to talk them into looking at
lighting catwalks and demonstrate focusing, but there is no practical
and reasonable means for input to OSHA.  (I don't consider buying
access through campaign contributions practical.)
