I don't know that I'd go that far.  No, it's not professional gear.
But for a one-off quick event where someone needs amplification in a
cafeteria, or outside for general PA purposes, it does what it's
supposed to do.  I wouldn't call it rock-solid, but I've never had it*
fail, either.

It's DJ gear.

If you're looking for a quick, almost idiot-proof piece of gear that
you're comfortable handing off to students for small events that
you're not going to be present for, then this is totally an acceptable
choice.  If you want something you can hand out for a quick rental of
a guitar-and-mic coffee shop bit of amateur music, it's appropriate
for that, too.  But I wouldn't spec Samson equipment for a new
install...

*I haven't used this particular piece, I don't think...but I have used
similar all-in-one-boxes by Samson before.
