[SML] Spire lights

I just ran across an older new article on the Erection at the
Intersection (Dublin Spire) that mentioned having to replace the "20
year life" lights a couple of times in the first few years.  I was
wondering if they've found any lights that actually last anywhere close
to the hype or have they given up?

Of course they could just install an engine in the bottom and launch
it.  That would solve the problem on a more permanent basis.
