Padding blankets on the inside (with or with out air holes), to prevent long scrapes.
Truss supports or similar in the cage to support the roof, so it doesn't sag onto the piano with whatever your storing on top of it.
Do you need to lock the door to the cage?
How to hinge the door(s)? lift and remove, or lots of piano hinge? Caster on the door to prevent it scrapping on the floor (if it opens sideways).
