I had a pickle on a 75' cord from CM and there was a short of the
strain relief to a hot control line - just one of those things where
it was assembled and something got pinched - and first time there was
a "line" of smoke off the full length of the control cable.  Basically
a 1/16" wire rope in the mufti wire cable. Length has a lot to do with
resistance.
