[SML] Versalite Riser Deck Resurfacing

I've got 100 Wenger Versa-lite risers with deck surfaces in various states
of crappiness.  I called Wenger up and they offered that I could spend $140
(before shipping) per riser and replace the plywood deck, which gets
expensive pretty quickly.

Does anyone have experience resurfacing these, or ideas for how to?
