Jerry,
Checking on my local 15.10 here, which should operate identically to
12 and 14, using the "connect to server" option and utilizing the
smb://server/share string to connect to them makes them available for
me in LibreOffice.
The other way to do it, which is lower level, would be to mount the
drives directly and then use a symlink to give yourself a quick
shortcut.
sudo mount -t cifs -o username=jerry,password=stagecraft
//server/share /mnt/share
The above assuming /mnt/share exists -- then create a symlink to
/mnt/share from somewhere LibreOffice can find easily. You can also
put your network shares in fstab if you want it to be automatic.
But, you probably knew all of that already.
