[SML] Scenery Labeling

Hello Everyone,

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to label scenery effectively
so that the label at least lives with some kind of longevity?  I am
trying to get our scenery labeled it a more consistent fashion and
writing on it with sharpie just isn't good enough.  We have some old
Virginia Scenic deck pieces that have a rectangular label.  Those
units were built almost two decades ago or more and the label still
lives.  I don't know what paper they used or what adhesive, but "A.
Chenier Causeway Platform 1 of 7" still reads legibly after many load
ins and load outs.  Anyone have a tried and successful method they
would be willing to share?  I don't really want to get into creating a
bunch of stencils.
