Thanks Barry. Your cents are appreciated.  We have an LS9. (Yes, a
touchscreen would be SUCH an improvement.) We're trying to get the
Powers That Dont to foot the bill for some digital stage boxes - one
of our AV vendor/installers has bid the appropriate Yamaha boxes and
Dante cards, but he also offered up a complete solution utilizing the
Soundcraft Si Performer 3, and necessary stage boxes, et al, at a
lower price point than just augmenting the LS9.  Now, I want to hear
from theatres that use them.... he tucked a pitch in the bid that
sounds like someone's marketing brochure:

"The Soundcraft Performer has SHOT into the forefront of high
performance low cost Touring Grade Digital Mixing consoles. For your
purposes, the Performer 3 32 input console has taken over on Broadway
and in Theatrical sound to the point that it HAS to be considered the
go to console. "

Really? Taken over on Broadway? The go-to console?
