[SML] Masonite Stage Floor Issue

Tempering is treating it with linseed oil to make it more water
resistant.  It also makes it harder.  It is not related to smooth
surfaces directly, which is a wet or dry process.  I tried to get
plyron untempered but not available.  If I did hardboard floors I'd
research using untempered (but smooth both sides) for better paint
adhesion.
