[SML] Hanging plexi panels

I will be sandwiching some 1/4" plexi sheets (7' h x 15'w) between two 
pieces of 1x6 x15'. This needs to hang from chain motors. Other than 
making chain loops that are bolted through the three layers (for 
shackles to attach to) is there another way I should consider that will 
keep the panel hanging perpendicular to the stage floor?
