Thanks to all for your words of experience. It's appreciated...

The PunchLine: The other day I told VZW to kiss off, bought a new 64Gb
iPhone 6 for a fairly reasonable amount, taking my Verizon iPhone 5 in
as partial payment, and signing up for their Unlimited-Everything
plan. On Verizon I was paying a tetch over $107/month for 450 minutes
of airtime, unlimited texts and unlimited data. Under T-Mo, I pat
$20/month less for unlimited airtime, text, and data, plus I have a
shiny new iThing.

But boy do I see what you mean about reduced coverage... I'll get used
to it, I guess, but I may need to put a rebroadcaster in my house;
where I got one bar of coverage in my home office under VZW, on T-Mo I
have "no signal."
