I suppose so. I am surprised that they can get it to go down ordinary
telephone cables, though. But it does so, and is reliable and
consistent, apart from violent thunderstorms. A few years ago, a big
one fried the modem in my computer, and more recently another fried
all the ADSL filters.
Here in London, it is not uncommon for a concert from the Berlin Phil
to freeze for a few minutes, in spite of the much higher bandwidth.
