[SML] turning off light boards

I would guess that sometime, way back when, possibly with an earlier 
board, someone had a bad experience with a board that wouldn't come back 
or lost the show with a power cycle or something.   They then made the 
mental leap and decided that the best way to handle this problem was to 
not shut the board off from start of rehearsals until closing night. 
Once the habit gets started for whatever reason, everyone follows it, 
Possibly not even knowing what brought it on.
