[SML] Christie Projectors?

Is there anybody here either from Christie, or intimately familiar with
their projectors? I'm trying to get a straight answer on what message
formats, to what ports, Christie projectors accept network control.

Uselessly, their manuals just say, "ASCII messages sent over the network",
which doesn't tell you, you know, how to actually send it. UDP? TCP?
Either? Neither? Telnet?

I do know that they'll accept telnet commands, by default as an anonymous
telnet session to port 3002, but am hoping they accept UDP, which is a lot
easier to automate.

Anybody?
