I'm lucky enough to be with one of the few remaining truly local ISPs, 
with actual support staff ... right downstairs from my office, so I can 
pop in and talk to tech support face to face.

I do have gmail as backup, but it's kinda nice to still be using the 
second email address I ever had (after nyx.cs.du.edu, the very first 
public freenet ... which appears to ... maybe ... still exist as 
nyx.net...)
