Hear! Hear! As the user of a theatre with mostly LED technology, I agree that it will never replace incandescent unless some major flaws get worked out. And I am also against designing a space so that it can ONLY use one type of technology. I've been there before at a venue I used to TD and I still get irritated thinking about it.

There are worse things than erring on the side of too much space, or too much Air Conditioning. I know they have to take cure needs into account. But the gear of today tends to have a longer life than anyone gives credit for, and the future is still a guess. Even educated guesses are still guesses at the end of the day.
