Thanks Chip, but … Not exactly “covered.”  I’m familiar with close focusing wide lenses - as well as using a front surface mirror - but …

From that site: At 3’ throw you get a 5’ diagonal image. Even if it were possible to get the lens 3’ behind the cyc, that wouldn’t present much of a projected background. I may have been reading too much into Alf’s reference to “rear projected cycs”, but I took it to be filling the cyc.
