[SML] Alternative to Incandescent House Lights

One of the things about CFLs that seems to not be getting out into the
general wisdom is that they will dim smoothly after they have been
'burned in' for about 100 hours (ETC calls this 'seasoning'.) I learned
it from Advance Ballasts. After a recent summer break, I went to dim the
overheads in a lecture hall I'd been using for years, and the incans had
been replaced with CFLs. The dim curve was so bad I had to postpone my
Thursday class' film viewing. Called Maintenance, asked them to make
sure the lamps stayed on for the weekend, and was able to successfully
show the film on Tuesday. Standard, Lowes-bought medium-scew base CFLs.
