USITT has a standard format for all the paperwork including things like local hospitals and photos and drawings. I used PDFs with scale and dwg files on my website as well as noted that you could email me for the vector works files... For a lot of lighting info, dwg and dxf files cut info out; if I'm going from VW to VW I don't want intermediary, but everyone has different version needs (2008 vs 2015, ETC)
