[SML] Sympathetic GFI Tripping

Pulled the breaker this morning and ran some tests.

Ohm meter set at 200megaOhms show out of range for hot-neut, hot-gnd and 
neut-gnd.
Set meter to 2Vac and observered, 0Vac hot-neut,  900mVac hot-gnd and 
neut-gnd.
This I believe is just induced hum of little consequence, because, 
current measurement show 0mA in all configurations.

Then I put 8oz of water and 8oz of ice in the blender and measured both 
voltage and current in all three configurations during the cycle.

Big disappointment.  Nada. Nothing.  No change in any of the readings.

I'm not losing sleep over it.  The circuit that trips is breakfast room 
lights and 3 outlets in the same area, plus a few basement lights.  No 
need for GFI anyway, so I've put in a regular breaker.

Don't know about, no-load condition, as I'm always reading the paper 
with the breakfast room lights on.  They're four 25W incandescents, not 
exactly a heavy load.

And for reference, the breaker was an arc-fault one.   The electrician 
said that's all they use for all new circuits these days.  He said it's 
just simplifies life not to have to worry about whether it's require and 
the cost, in the end, to the homeowner is negligible.   For reno's they 
have a flat rate schedule for most tasks anyway.
