Definitely the mouse - I¹m not sure the cast was even fully aware of the
intruder though the audience and crew were.  As our summer season is
entirely in foreign languages, and the actors are there more for the
language study than as trained thespians, the ad lib may have been beyond
them in any case.  Makes for a fun story, though.  Did I tell you about
the time there was a snake in the pit below our paint frame?
