[SML] 3D Printers? MakerBot Z18

Hey folks,

We're looking at getting a 3d printer.
The one that one of my team recommended was the MakerBot Z18.
It will do the size that we like (12" by 12" by 18" tall).
It's reviews are very mixed.
We will not have a tremendous amount of time to spend futzing with it, so hope to find a machine that is relatively easy to use, and is also reliable.

Does anyone here have firsthand experience with this machine?
Does anyone have a recommendation of another machine WITH THIS LARGE of a build size?
